The BAA accepts, dockets, and manages all appeals through an electronic case management system. The appeal petition and all subsequent case filings are filed into and stored in this system. The system automatically emails notifications of all filings to case parties and the BAA. To access and use the system, you must first create an account. The system will send important notifications of case filings to the email address you use to create your account. Be sure to add baa@state.co.us to your list of safe senders so that our emails don’t end up in your spam folder.

If your account is inactive for 90 days it will become locked, and require a password reset.

About the BAA’s Case Management System

The BAA’s case management system offers a secure web portal through which case parties create an account, file a petition to initiate their case, and then file and access all subsequent case documents electronically. Parties are notified by email of all case documents filed within the system. All BAA orders and hearing decisions are issued through the system. The case management system is the system of record for all of the BAA’s cases.

The system supports the following browsers: Firefox 100+, Firefox 112+, Firefox 102 ESR, Apple Safari 15+ (MacOS), Apple Safari 16+ (MacOS), Microsoft Edge on Chromium 101+, Microsoft Edge on Chromium 113+, Google Chrome 101+, and Google Chrome 113+. If using Safari, you must be on a Mac desktop or laptop, rather than an iPhone or iPad. Internet Explorer is not supported. While using the system, is important to allow all pop-ups to enable full system functionality.

Need Technical Help?

User guides and video tutorials are available on our website to assist you with system functions. If you face a barrier related to technology access or need help navigating the case management system, BAA staff can assist you via phone, email, and video conference. Although our building is closed to the general public, BAA staff are available to take in-person appointments in our office. Please call the BAA at 303-864-7710, or email us at baa@state.co.us with questions or to schedule an in-person appointment.

We are unable to waive jurisdictional filing deadlines, so please obtain help before your appeal filing deadline.
